Chocolate Saves Lives!

Finally, a study proves what I’ve been saying all along … eating chocolate every day will SAVE YOUR LIFE!  Okay, that’s not exactly what the study says but it implies it and that’s all I care about.

“According to a new study, small doses of chocolate every day could decrease your risk of having a heart attack or stroke by nearly 40 percent …

“German researchers followed nearly 20,000 people over eight years … (and) found people who had an average of six grams of chocolate per day – or about one square of a chocolate bar – had a 39 percent lower risk of either a heart attack or stroke.

“Experts think the flavonols contained in chocolate are responsible.  Flavonols, also found in [who cares, who cares, who cares] and red wine help the muscles in blood vessels widen [blah, blah, blah, who cares ... did you see the part about the red wine?]…

There’s more, including something from this killjoy:

“This is not a prescription to eat more chocolate,” said Dr. Robert Eckel … a past president of the American Heart Association [the people who brought you heart killing low fat diets!]. He was not linked to the study [so what the hell does he know?]. “If we all had (a small amount) of chocolate every day for the rest of our lives, we would all gain a few pounds.” [Whatever, dude. It's a STUDY.  'Nuff said.]

You can read the rest here and rejoice!  Just in time for freakin’ Easter, too.  Bring on the Bunny!
